Grade 5 Orchestral Instruments Quiz

Test yourself on the basic facts about orchestral instruments that might come up in the ABRSM grade 5 music theory exam!

You'll need to know what all the standard orchestral instruments are, which clefs they use and which families they belong to, whether they are transposing instruments, and if so, in what keys, and which instruments can share printed music without a change in pitch. You'll also need to know some facts about how instruments work, and the difference between pitched and unpitched percussion.

For more about all the details you need to learn for the grade 5 exam about instruments, please see the lesson here Instruments of the Orchestra
