C2a. Musical Instruments, Families and Names - Exercises

Grade 6 Music Theory - General Knowledge Lesson 2a: Musical Instruments, Families and Names - Exercises

The quiz on this page will test your knowledge of musical instruments - the questions are about which orchestral family each instrument belongs to, and their names in foreign languages (Italian, French or German).

It's a multiple choice quiz with 15 questions, and you need 66% to pass, 80%+ for a merit, and 90%+ for a distinction.

The questions are shuffled and picked from a database of over 40 questions, so if you redo the quiz you will get a different mix of questions. The key to learning foreign words is repetition, so have a few goes!
