I'm a pensioner who has played the piano by ear for eons, and thought it about time I learnt a bit about reading music. Am much enjoying your lessons. Am working through Grade 2 and hope Grade 3 will be arriving shortly.
Thank you very much for your clear concise lessons.
admin:
Grade three is scheduled for the end of the year. Glad you are enjoying the lessons!

Hi!
Umm...
Well, I haven't check this thing out yet. But soon enough, I might go through it.
I am taking the grade 5 music theory next year. But, I need a lot of training because I can't even do some of the first grade worksheets!!!
Soo... Yeah, I just might check this out after my piano exams *this* year!
Cya!
P.S. My mom was dazed when she saw this web. She is really good at music type of stuff.
admin:
I hope some of the lessons are useful for you. Good luck again for your piano exam!

Victoria,
Your website is very, very helpful! Thank you for your generosity. Well,
my suggestion is that you also recommend softwares which may assist in learning Music Theory or Practise.
admin:
Thank you. To be honest, I don't know of any software which is a good as a human teacher. I answer music theory questions for free - email me: questions at mymusictheory.com

Hi, just to say that I got my grade 5 theory results today - and passed with distinction!
Have to say a big thanks because I am self taught and though I bought the G5 book it didn't help very much at all - I owe most of my mark to mymusictheory. So thanks again!
admin:
Congratulations on your excellent result! I'm so glad my lessons were of use to you.

Your website is amazing! My 10-yr-old child is reviewing for Grade 4 Theory exams right now. Not being a Music major myself, I've been wondering how to help him in his review and simplify the lessons for him because the ABRSM Theory books are not that easy to understand.
I have yet to show him your website but I'm sure he will be amused and thrilled to see that the answers appear when you move the mouse to the right spot.
Great job and really a big help to students, especially the younger ones.
admin:
I hope your son likes the site and finds it useful.

Hi Victoria! Good evening to you.
I have noticed in Lesson 6 (grade 2), under Key Signatures With Accidentals, mention is made that the music is in the key of F Major. I don't understand how the key is in F major. Could you explain?
Thank you
admin:
Certainly! There is one flat in the key signature - B flat. F major uses a key signature with one flat.
