Grade Five - Composing a Melody for Voices Exercises- (CAMV)
What's Inside?
This worksheet contains twenty composition questions for voice. Each question provides you with two lines of text, which you need to set to a melody. Just like in the real Grade Five Music Theory exam, you are given two lines of blank manuscript for your answers.
In addition, we've included five pages of melody writing tips from the My Music Theory lesson on composing for voices, and a whole page of blank manuscript which you can print out as many times as you need for practice.
How to Get your Answers Marked
If you choose to buy the worksheet with Online Teacher Support, you can email your answers to us here at My Music Theory, we''ll mark them and grade them for you, then email them back to you with comments, corrections and a grade.
You need to be able to either scan your written answers, or take a clear photo of them, which you can attach to an email.
You can also use music publishing software, but I don't recommend it as you can't use it in the real exams, and your accuracy in handwriting music is taken into account in the grading.
If you purchase Online Teacher Support and then find you are unable to send your answers by email, My Music Theory will be happy to refund the difference; just send us an email.
Each set of questions can be submitted for grading only once , but you may ask an unlimited number of questions about each submission - and please do - the best learning comes from asking questions! You can submit your answers to each question one at a time, or all in one go, or something in between the two - we recommend sending in only one or two at a time, so that you can read our suggestions and put them into practice in your next attempt.

What if I don't want any marking done?
No problem. You can buy this worksheet in two versions; one comes with online teacher support and the other doesn't. This is ideal material if you are a teacher who wants some extra composition practice exercises for your students.
