When will grade 6/7/8 be finished?MyMusicTheory is done solely by myself - it's a very big task for one person and unfortunately I can only spend time on it when I have some free time. As a mother of 2, free time is something I seem to have less and less of! I cannot give any timescales for when the other grades will be finished. My goal is to have all 8 grades up on the site, but realistically this will take quite a long time. The current site (with grades 1-5 complete and half of grade 6) has taken me about three years to accomplish. I have found a mistake on the site. Please let us know! Email us at info@mymusictheory.com and include a link to the page where you found the mistake. We do appreciate all feedback.
Can I share the downloaded materials? You may share printed copies or photocopies of material which you have downloaded. We ask that you keep the mymusictheory.com copyright or link visible. You do not have permission to publish any of the material online. Who writes the lessons on mymusictheory? My name is Victoria Williams. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 1995 with a 2.i degree in Music, with musicology as my specialism. I play the piano and the clarinet and hold grade 8 in both. The website is solely created by myself and I hold the rights to all the material published on it as my intellectual property The pages are not displaying correctly on my computerYour screen resolution needs to be set to a minimum width of 1024 pixels. You can check your browser width by visiting http://whatsmy.browsersize.com/.
Many older computer screens have a width of 800 pixels - mymusictheory.com will not fit on your screen if this is the case. This is because the music images are too large to fit on your screen and shrinking them down will reduce the quality of the image so much that they will not be legible.
If your browser width is set to 800 pixels, it is very simple to change it. The instructions depend on which operating system you have. You can always change it back if you want, but you will probably find that most web pages look better when you change it. Can I take a music theory test on your website? We only provide lessons and educational materials for the exams conducted by the ABRSM. We don't offer any accredited exams or certificates via the site. We do provide practice tests and quizzes, which have been developed by mymusictheory.com, not the ABRSM.
