About My Music Theory
My Music Theory is owned by VK Williams- that's me. You'll see my name on the copyright on the bottom of any materials you download. I wrote, designed and created this site, so if you have any praise, suggestions or complaints, write to me.
You might be wondering just who I am? I've been a teacher since 1999. I graduated from The University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Music in 1995. My specialism at University was Musicology, which in my case was the detailed study of the notation of music in Western Europe from the 15th century until present day. My particular branch of expertise is rare but useful: I am one of the very few people in the UK and worldwide who is specifically qualified in the notation of music.
Practically speaking, I am a clarinettist and a pianist and I passed my own Grade 5 Theory in 1989 with distinction, just in case you were wondering!
My Music Theory is a labour of love, combining my passions of music, teaching, writing and IT. The project is set to expand to cover all the ABRSM Theory of Music grades, and the next package of lessons will be for Grade 6.
